Posiverse is business software for shopkeepers in India. This page explains what we store, why we store it, who else handles it, and what we do not do with it. It also explains how to ask for a copy of your data or to have it deleted.
Who we are
Posiverse ("we", "us"), a product of Ashraf Technologies, provides a billing, stock and customer-credit app for retail shops. We are the data fiduciary for the account details you give us when you sign up. For the sales, customer and stock records you create in the app, you are the owner of that data and we hold it on your behalf.

What we collect
What you give us at signup: your name, email address, phone number and business name. Your password is handled by Google Firebase Authentication and is never stored by us in a form we can read.
What the app stores as you use it — ordinary business records, the things a shop keeps anyway:
- Products, categories, brands, tax rates and prices, including the cost price of each item sold
- Sales, returns and exchanges, the items on each, and how each was paid
- Cash register shifts: opening and closing cash, cash added or removed, and the reason you gave
- Stock levels, purchases and vendor records
- Customer names and contact details you enter, and any balance they owe
- A history of changes to sales, so you can see who edited or cancelled what
- Photos you upload for products, categories or your receipt logo
This is your data about your business. We treat it as yours.
WhatsApp receipts (optional)
If you choose to switch on WhatsApp receipts for your shop, Posiverse sends a customer's receipt to their WhatsApp number through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. This is optional, off unless you turn it on, and only applies to customers you have marked as agreeing to receive messages. For each message we keep a delivery status (sent, delivered, read or failed) so you can see whether the receipt reached the customer. We use customer phone numbers for this purpose only.
A customer who no longer wants receipts on WhatsApp can tell the shop, who can switch it off for that customer, or can reply to the message asking to stop.
Crash reports
When the app hits an unexpected error it sends us a report so we can fix it. That report contains the technical error, the screen it happened on, your app version and phone model, and an anonymous identifier for the installation. It contains no customer names, no prices and no sale contents.
Where it is kept
Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. Each business's records are separated from every other business's, and access requires you to be signed in. Access to features inside a business is limited by the roles its owner assigns. Uploaded images are stored in cloud object storage; anyone holding the direct link to an image can view it, so avoid uploading anything confidential as a product photo.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your business records with other businesses.
- We do not use your sales data or your customers' phone numbers for advertising.
- We do not run third-party trackers or advertising pixels on this website.
Who else is involved
These providers process data on our behalf so the service can run:
- Google — Firebase for sign-in; Google Cloud for hosting, databases and file storage.
- Meta Platforms — the WhatsApp Business Platform, only if you switch on WhatsApp receipts.
Data deletion and your choices
You can view and edit your business data inside the app at any time.
To request deletion of your account and its data, or to get a copy of your data, email hello@posiverse.in from the email address on your account, with the subject "Data request" and the name of your shop.
We will confirm your request, and delete your account and the business records attached to it within 30 days. Where the law requires us to keep a record (for example, for tax purposes), we will tell you what we are keeping and why.
If you are a shop's customer and want your details removed from a shop's records, or want to stop receiving WhatsApp receipts, please ask the shop — it is the owner of those records — or email us and we will pass your request on.
Children
Posiverse is business software and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will tell you rather than quietly updating this page. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
